The Team at Ride On

Kevin Duitsman

Owner, mechanic, teacher.

Kevin began his career as a shop mechanic in 1991 to support his BMX habit. He took on many roles within the bicycle business before leaving to work full-time for Indianapolis Public Schools as a licensed elementary teacher in 2019. Kevin never stopped working on bicycles in his spare time. Due to demand, he started Ride On as an official side-gig in October 2021 to better serve his customers. In June 2022, Kevin found his niche job with Nine13 Sports, an Indianapolis-based nonprofit that uses the bicycle as an educational tool to promote health and teach mechanical skills to central Indiana youths. He now works full-time as a Curriculum & Instructional Facilitator at Nine13 Sports, maintaining Ride On as a part-time venture.

Sullivan, a.k.a. “Kitty”

Quality control & customer care specialist.

A youngster at the time, Sullivan first walked into a bicycle shop on October 26, 2012. He has been around bicycles ever since. Sullivan commonly goes by the name “Kitty” and really loves people (like, a lot). He is proud to hold the shop to high standards and to leave hair on your slacks. (Don’t say we didn’t warn you.)
